The Route 2017
The winner in Norway
To win a spot on this great adventure, you have to apply with a personal application. You can apply to represent you own country and the 12 representatives with the most votes will get a spot on the expedition. This was my third year trying! I’ve gotten two 2nd places and the defeat, getting so close, was tough. But third time’s a charm and this year I finally won. Fjällräven has also chosen a person from each country, so the country will be represented by two individuals. One with the most votes, and one with the jury award.
I won in Norway with amazing 29.006 personal votes and that secured my place in Fjällräven Polar 2017. The jury picked Sofie who came 2nd and that fought to the end. It was a dramatic final the last hours of the competition, so i could not be more happy to share the experience with her, representing Norway.
The expedition took place April 3rd and I really hope you will follow my social channels to get a felling of how amazing this was. I would also like to encourage you all to apply next time the competition opens up.
The full story
This is a movie I made on the expedition. It shows you the full story from A-Z and captures all that I experienced.
Fjällräven polar is a 330km long winter expedition across the arctic tundra. The participants will steer a dog sled all the way from Signaldalen, Norway, to the forests around Jukkasjärvi, Swedish Lapland. Conditions can be grim at times north of the Arctic circle.
